Thank you

We cannot begin to thank everyone enough for the out pouring of love and support since our story aired on Australian Story last night. Your heartfelt words touched us so much, and we are truly grateful to all of you for sharing your stories and emotions with us.
I would love to respond to each and every one of you individually to express my sincere gratitude, but sadly it is just not possible due to the sheer volume of calls, messages, texts, emails, facebook, Twitter and forum posts.
At the request of many, you will now be able to touch base with us here, as well as follow Sams progress well into the future.
We hope it sheds some light onto the plight of many in similar circumstances, who are fighting for the right of their loved ones to recover.
Thank you all once again, we feel so incredibly privileged to have the support of such amazing people.
Many blessings,
Sally (and Sam) xx

  2. Hello Sally and Sam,
Thank you for sharing your story. I have a 5 year old daughter with an aquired brain injury who is totally locked in - she is the light of our lives - so it is no surprise to us that you and Sam have found ways to share a full life together despite everything.

Things must be very crazy for you right now with all the attention your story is getting. But please, when things settle down, if you need a friend who 'gets it' (PEGS, meds, etc...) and still feels like life is wonderful then please reach out. You can find me on facebook - Sally Coddington.

    Happy days.
    Sally

  3. Sally and Sam,

The courage and perserverance you have both shown is truly remarkable.
I'm around the same age as you - 23 - but I live such a different life - carefree, self involved. To see the commitment you have shown, Sally, and such selflessness, is an inspiration. Your love is true and pure and I wish you all the luck in the world with Sam's journey towards recovery. You deserve a lifetime of happiness together.
Sam, you're so strong. I cannot wait until we see a follow up and learn that your "window" is open forever, that you're freed from your cage. I wish you both all the best with your life together.

  6. Hi Sally and Sam,
Your story is truly inspirational. We would really like to help. A group of friends and I have an idea for some fundraising for you that I would really like to talk to you about? You guys would not need to do anything.

Could you please send me an email on tcrockford@hotmail.com so that I can have a chat to you about it directly?

Thanks so much Sally and Sam, our thoughts are with you guys, be strong..look forward to speaking with you.

    Tammie :-)
